minutes at a speed of not more than 50MPH 70 acres,
former quarry/pit. It's huge! Suits all types of vehicles
from standard to modified. Run by Driverite Ltd. Well
organised and all makes of 4x4 are welcome.

Leave Sudbury on the B1508 and head
towards Colchester. At the village of Bures St Mary follow
the narrow road through the village, round a right hand bend
past the Church, over a bridge into Essex, look for a red
old style telephone box and turn right signposted to Lamarsh,
go past the Swan Inn, under a bridge and immediately left to
Parsonage Hill. Follow the road out of the village. Look for
the “Ferriers Barn" sign (pictured below), on a very sharp
left hand bend, and turn right to Ferriers Barn.

Canewdon
Run by the Essex, Rochford & District
4x4 Club.
Located north of Southend On Sea, Essex,
approx 100 miles from Norwich.
They meet on the
second Sunday of each month from 10 till 4:30. They have
three course designs for Beginner, Intermediate & Experts so
what ever 4x4 vehicle you have they can find a course to
suit you. There is a food, WC & jet wash facilities on site
to help make your day as enjoyable as possible. It costs £20
per vehicle for a days unlimited off-roading for non members
& £15 per day for members, spectators are free but you must
sign in at the caravan.

Detling
Not a bad little site, can sometimes
be part closed if it's wet as the course is impossible, clay
over chalk, if you could coat saucepans with it you'd be
made for life. Only place i've been where you can sit in a
6" deep hollow with all four wheels spinning, worth going at

Devils Pit -
Bedfordshire
60 acre site located 6 just north of
Luton approx 95 miles from Norwich just off the A6. I've
not been but it looks like it's worth the journey. Take
your vehicle for all day fun. Catering and toilets on site.
£26 per vehicle - up to 5 people in the vehicle providing
there are 5 seats and belts, everyone must wear a seatbelt.
Over 5 people then a £2 spectator fee is charged per extra
person. Children free. No need to pre-book - just turn up

Approx. 50 acre ex quarry. Good steep hills, muddy rutted
tracks, chalk pit (very sticky), some very deep water, very
challenging in places. Suitable for extremely modified to
completely standard trucks. £25 per vehicle for the day,
the site is accessed from the A47 near Duddington, 3 miles
from Stamford. Follow the signs for Tixover Grange.
Excellent site, well worth the trip. Approx. 90 miles from
Norwich.
Three
Holes
Approx 12 miles from Downham Market,
near Nordelph, Cambridgeshire. Excellent site when wet,
small but plenty to do. Suits mainly modified vehicles, but
standard can also be fun. Run by Richard Dalton 01945

Also known as Parkwood Off Road
Centre, this 200 acre site is one of the best off road
centres in the north of England, located 4 miles outside
Bradford, West Yorkshire, but well worth the long journey.
Awesome site with everything from extremely steep hills to a
deep lake that they let you drive through (if you are mad
enough) and the famous "Rubi-Tong Trail" Suzuki Rhino
Rally USED TO BE held here each year in June. Site is
open to the public, but you must have MOT/TAX etc

Junction 27. Head west on A650 toward bradford. At second
roundabout (B6135) take 3rd Exit sign posted Drighlington
the take 1st left before the 6 acres public house into Tong
Lane. Follow Tong Lane down into Tong Village the Centre is
first left we are opposite the Courtyard Hotel.The centre

crossing. Superb site, loads of mud, even the car park
can be a challenge!! 19 Acres of dense forest. Suits
standard and heavilly modified vehicles. Only open 12
times a year. Run by volunteers.
Coming from London on A20,
pass BRANDS HATCH on the left. Drive approx 2 miles to
WEST KINGSDOWN when the road splits into DUAL CARRIAGEWAY,
look for PORTOBELLO PUB on the left and turn right opposite
into SCHOOL LANE. in approx 1/2 mile the road swings sharp
left and becomes very narrow, continue on past the
GOLF COURSE and turn left into COTMANS ASH LANE, past the
RISING SUN PUB, then entrance to farm is 1/3 mile on the
left.
